Spring Classes

Part l: Primary Food Groups

Be introduced to the language of cooking. A technique of cooking without recipes that is unique to the School of Natural Cookery.  You will observe techniques of cooking with “whole dish grains” (millet, buckwheat, quinoa, Jobs Tears and more) plus sumptuous sauces, luscious vegetables, and both basic and elegant beans.

12 hours( four 3 hour classes)

Poultry: These pre-treatments and cooking methods work for Chicken, Game Hens, Turkey, Duck, Goose, or Wild Game birds. Most all two legged animals.

Meal Composition: Prerequisites;  Soup, Alternative Sweeteners and one protein class.  In planning a meal you need to be aware of having a nutrient balance as well as placing attention on textures, tastes, colors, numbers, and the season.  You will experience a meal that is balanced in all of these topics.

Part III: Improvisation

Become fluent in the language of cooking.  Improve your skills through hands-on improvisational cooking.  The unique techniques of the School of Natural Cookery will make cooking easy, fast and precise while supporting your Spirit.  Take this part over and over again to explore new horizons.  Prerequisites : Part I

Time : 10:00 - 4:30

Cost:  $100.00 single $175.00 double

Part II:  Balanced Meals

Employ the language of cooking. You will study technique and theory of cooking soups, proteins, (vegetarian or animal based) and simple desserts with unrefined sweeteners.  Learn meal composition with focus on balancing nutrition, energy and aesthetics.
